VIT Hack, organized by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is an annual hackathon event wherein the participants are required to engage in a 36-hour hackathon on problem statements intended to challenge their wits. The Hackathon comprises of several other events as well, which makes this 2-day event a rather engaging and entertaining one, in addition to being highly educational.
VIT Hack aims to engage international participation from students of technical universities across the Globe, to contribute their ideas as solutions to real-world problems, and to create a confluence of different cultures and ideas from around the world. In this Hackathon, tracks related to emerging technologies aim to expand the participants’ horizons, pushing and urging them towards innovation. Social causes and issues camouflaged as problem statements are also given, to help channel the participants’ thoughts into impactful change. Participants will be given the opportunity to learn, grow, and to adapt their ideas into the change they wish to see.
The event focuses on bringing leading industry professionals, tech pioneers, and entrepreneurs to help ignite innovation in the participants. Apart from interesting competitions and events, the VIT Hack also brings to the table a large number of motivational speakers to kick off the event in all its glory and grandeur, including talks from experts hailing from a myriad of industries ranging from commerce to tech, to give participants an insight into their experience in the industry, and to motivate them for the challenges of looming reality.
The VIT Hack is a completely free event. It does not warrant the compulsion of technical knowledge, though it definitely is an advantageous add-on. Participants must also work on building a team that surpasses expectations in pitch and management.
